Angelica

I got to catch up with an old friend for this shoot. When she stepped onto the set, I couldn’t help but wonder how the hell she looks exactly the same as all those years ago?!
The room was immediately filled with booming laughter, as if picking up right where we left off. We talked about all things woman, drama, music, and reminisced on the old HEB days (the best times!). Angelica was nothing but laughs; it was rare to catch a frown or furrowed brows.
However, as I shared some of my own stories, she listened intently and gave her full attention (click!).
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her stories of her parents and how close they all are, how her husband is the most inspirational person in her life, and how obsessed she is with Gwen Stefani and Celine Dion (rightfully so). Angelica and I could have kept going the whole day, and my camera would have captured more of that contagious laugh; even during the few “serious” conversations, she always ended on a positive, uplifting note.

To round off our session, I asked her to give me some words to live by, and she answered in true Angelica fashion:

“Don’t start no shit, won’t be no shit. That’s it.”
